Happy New Year!

What a very cold day here, the world seems frozen. We are watching the Rose Bowl Parade but I am not enjoying it as I used too...I am enjoying the heating pad at my back more! Our daughter and her family were here for a week and what a fabulous week it was. I am thankful. She has learned to make felt flowers and they are so beautiful! Happy New Year! Back to the parade and heat I go.

Psalm 62:7 & 8 In God is my salvation and my glory; the rock of my strength, and my refuge, is in God. Trust in him at all times; ye people, pour out your heart before him; God is a refuge for us. Selah.

My Testimony

I was saved when I was 32 years old. We had evangelistic meetings the week of Mother's Day. When asked by the evangelist if I died tonight would I be sure I would go to heaven. I answered...'I hope so'. He answered, 'young lady, heaven is a 'know so' place'. He asked me to sit up front the next day in church, and the message was 'Hell will be filled with 'good' people'. The first one third of the message I sat in the pew and reviewed to God and myself what a 'good' person I really was. Not! The Holy Spirit of God brought conviction to my heart so vividly, that I clearly remember not needing to hear any more of the sermon. God's word had reached ME! I was a sinner on my way to Hell. I couldn't wait to go forward and pray, accepting Christ as my Saviour. I believed on him that day and received Him personally by repentance and prayer, confessing my need of salvation. Hell will be filled with good people all right, BUT good only in their own eyes. God alone is sinless and 'good'.

"ALL have sinned and come short of the glory of God". Romans 3:23 "For the wages of sin is death: but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." Romans 6:23 "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is mad unto salvation.

Romans 10: 9 & 10 Verse 13 says this, 'for whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.' John 1:12 & 13 says, 'But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His name, which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.'
