At a recent stop at our antique mall....I gave myself a gift of this Grandma Moses book by Otto Kallir. I have always--always admired Grandma Moses! She didn't begin painting until age 76, after having 10 kids! She painted more than 25 pictures after turning 100 years old. I wouldn't have that kind of gumption no matter what.
Years ago we bought these two of her prints I came across and had to have. Our neighbor made the frames and I was in 7th heaven....so to speak! This one hung above my little oak desk for years.
This print hangs above my husband's desk now. I have two other coffee table books about Grandma Moses and I never get tired of them =). What richness we may glean from those gone before us...$10. well spent! Also....I am reading a Penny Parker novel on my Kindle and Mildred Wirt wrote it I think. She was a ghost writer for Nancy Drew...and she knew how to keep a story moving along...I'm enjoying it.
Proverbs 4:4 'He taught me also, and said unto me, Let thine heart retain my words and keep my commandments, and live'.

Love Grandma Moses and will always remember how sweet she was despite the trials in her life.
