Doesn't this sky just remind you of summer weather? It does me. God does paint the most beautiful skies. It is a treat to just have eyes....to enjoy His handiwork.
I thought this was the 'cats meow' cute. I'd never seen this truck around before so snapped a picture.
This is an old hymnal....no notes just verse after verse. Some things like hymns hold their value like an anchor in the storm. Just think of the lives that were touched by God over the centuries. By His mercy, goodness and grace. I love it.
'I have learned the wondrous secret...Of abiding in the Lord; I have tasted life's pure fountain, I am drinking of His word;
I have found the strength and sweetness...Of abiding 'neath the blood; I have lost myself in Jesus, I am sinking into God' from the hymn, 'I Have Learned the Wondrous Secret'

Good morning! Love the old Hymnal and all the sweet Truth that it contains! :)
Beautiful blues!
I love the old Hymnal. Wonderful. Again great photos!
That first photo is just breath-taking! Isn't God wonderful...His wonders to behold! The old hymnal is a lovely thing to have. I have several old family Bibles that I treasure.
Great sky!
that old hymnal is a treasure. In years past (a long time ago) churches could not afford a lot of hymnals so the song leader would stand in front and read one line of the song from the book. He'd stop and then the congregation would sing that line. He'd read the next line and they'd sing that one and so on. It was called 'lining a hymn'
Maggie Ann,
Can't wait to see pictures of your AZ visit! I wish we could have met somewhere, but I do understand. I know you weren't near Tucson. We would be willing to drive somewhere if it worked out next time. Not to worry about not accepting the award. I hope some new friends visit your blog because of the nomination! Hope you had a wonderful time while here and enjoyed your family. God bless you and them!
