We had such fun today. We visited the Fort Necessity National Park and it was lovely. The weather was more than perfect for a March day in Pa. and the exhibits were very interesting! I enjoyed every minute of it...even though it made my sore throat a bit worse.
I had a hearty laugh when I noticed in this picture my feet aren't underneath my face. Two of our children seem to be missing here and look at the size of my baby. Must have been a preemie!

In thinking of what to post tonight, here is one of my favorite books...and people.
Grandma Moses! I love her paintings and her wonderful insight to enjoying life. She was still painting pictures at age 92. I hope we all can be like her. We have two of her prints framed that we still enjoy.
And hubby keeps me supplied with gorgeous flowers....and yes, we are so blessed, aren't we! 'Being happy is better than being King' ....African proverb.

I love visiting historical places. Must put Fort Necessity on my list. Have you been to Williamsburg? It's grand! I've always thought I should learn a bit about Grandma Moses. You have motivated me!

Good evening Maggie Ann, you have reminded me of the Grandma Moses book, I had completely forgotten her name, but knew I loved her style.
Here in England of course we have Lowry but also Helen Bradley whose book Miss Carter wore Pink is quite a delight. I do hope to be creating things for a long time yet ..... though at nearly 67 I still have a long ways to go to match Grandma Moses!
