I never realized Ms. Weber wrote so prolifically. Three series and 11 non-series books. I am currently reading a Mildred Wirt mystery. Its light reading, meant for teen girls, but Grandmother's can enjoy one now and again too. Mildred was a ghost writer for the Nancy Drew series, way back when. I admire her!
A friend told us about this great solution for fruit flies. Once every summer or fall, they seem to take up residence in our kitchen and fly about like little bombardiers. VeRy annoying! Pour a little vinegar in the bottom of an empty jar...twist a waxed paper cone and place in the mouth of the jar. The small end of the waxed paper cone should be a little above the vinegar level. They fly in for the vinegar and can't get out. This really works well!

blessings on your weekend!!!!
I don't remember the books but sure I would like them. I have used the vinger trick in my kitchen.
I am a bookaholic, but I don't remember that author. Scouring used books stores and thrift stores is definitely fun, though! And now we have Amazon used, as well. Yay! Thanks for the tip about fruit flies. If you get a miracle for ANTS :-P let me know!
I found you through Patsy's blog. What great books you have found! Since my name is Mildred, these really caught my eye! My late mom loved Nancy Drew mysteries and due to her poor eyesight, I read to her for many years. Folks of all ages enjoy a good, clean mystery now and again.
Thanks too for the fruit fly solution. I'm going to share this with hubby.
Have a very nice week. Hope you'll visit me if you have the time later.
I have never heard of these books, but they look interesting! I have never tried the vinegar solution in my kitchen, but I think I just might have to. Have a great week! Karen
What a good idea for the fruit flies. Never knew that, great tip.
These books were one of my favorite reads when I was a girl. I have but one copy of "Beany Malone" that I found at our library several years ago. Recently took it off the shelf and am reading it again. It's like visiting an old friend! Took a look on-line to see if any of the books are available and found your blog. How fortunate you are to have 4 Beany books! I will be away for the week of Thanksgiving and think I'll browse through some thrift shops to see if I can find some more. You've given me hope! Thank you.
