Part of these sultry summer days find me knitting little cats still. At least I understand the pattern now and what a relief that is to me. The ears are still tricky though. And I actually look forward to starting a new one just to see if the pattern and my brain are in any sort of harmony! These little cats each seem to have their own little personality, and soon will have a wonderful adventure being mailed off to three sweet boys. And then.... their adventure really begins!!
We have been busy with our flower beds, the summer is so beautiful!
I was thinking just now of God's constancy to me. Through sadness and through joy. I know that real & lasting joy and quieting peace comes only from God, yet how often I let this life crowd him out. He is my rock, and the one who loves me as no one on earth can. His love and care are constant, with not a shadow of turning! I am determined to spend more time in his word and in prayer.
"Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning." James chapter 1, verse 17.

i love your profile pic! such a lovely lady ... and the little cats you are knitting are wonderful!!! so sweet!
seems like ages since i've stopped by ... blessings on you, dear Kat!
Maggie, I am enjoying knitting a lot these days too.
I am on a baby dress kick. They make wonderful gifts and I have even sold a couple at boutiques.
My next project will be to learn to make socks, and make baby socks out of all the odds and ends of yarn in my yarn drawer.
Great fun in service of the Lord - give to those who'd appreciate them, or a pregnancy help center. Thrifty, too.
Dear Maggie Ann, I have missed you! I have not had internet for a while and have missed visiting with you, but you have been with me in a special way. Do you remember how your blog a while ago encouraged me to start memorizing scriptures? Well, every day as I walk with Bella in the park I am now blessed to be able to Praise the Lord out loud with the Psalms that are now tucked away in my heart. This is so very special to me dear sister. I am refreshed each day with the joy of sharing the Psalms with the trees, with the open spaces and Bella :0) Thank you for this legacy.
God bless you, Val xx UK
Id like to invite everyone to read a blog post today of a woman who joined the old order Mennonite church from the outside. I'm extremely lucky in publishing her very first, and most likely last post on Amish Stories. A lot of work was involved in her getting permission to be even able to write anything on the internet, and permission was given by her bishop. So please stop by and read about a woman who gave-up her car and other worldly possessions for the person that she loved. Richard from Amish Stories.
