I am thinking of buying or borrowing from the library...'While We're Apart' by Lynn Austin. She is such a good writer...and I read a few preview pages thanks to Amazon, that got me interested quickly in the story.
When I reviewed 'Lonestar Homecoming' the romantic parts were just not to my liking...nothing really offensive. The author's story line strengthened as the main characters lives were in danger, with a lot of action and suspense at the end.

I got a Kindle for Christmas and have read 10 books already!! I get the free ones that are on Amazon. My favorite so far was 'Free Air' by Sinclair Lewis.
I'm like you... speed reading through those I don't like but I go one further... after a chapter or two I stop reading. They gotta catch me right away!!
I am not a speed reader, rather a slow reader to say the least.
I don't like the sensual descriptions to graphic either. I have thrown a few books in the garbage can, and never finished the book. I don't censor other peoples reading material, but I do censor my own. I think that is the way it should be, because what someone else enjoys reading in none of my business. I tell my friends who borrow my books I am not their censor, if they find something not to their liking they don't have to read the book.
Thank you for visiting My Reading Corner today.
I love books but I am very selective about what I read.
I have not read the two books you mentioned on my blog... but I will sure download them and read them. thanks for the tip.
What a lovely piece of art! Off to bed now, with my book. Think I might be asleep before I finish the first page though! lol!
