Pausing to post while starting to prepare my morning oatmeal...I must show you this.....smile. In using up the last of the oatmeal...I had the wacky but wonderful idea of cutting down the Quaker Oats container for a big pencil holder for my collage table. SUCCESS! I was able even to pry the plastic rim off and re-put it on the cut edge I trimmed down, crookedly but hey, its lid is snugly on there...grin. ALSO.....yesterday we went to the mall book sale. $1.50 an inch! Look at some of the goodies I got. The 'Charmed' book shows how to use a steel block and ball-peen hammer to make your own charms & things out of sheet silver. Oh joy! Now to see if the sheet silver is too costly or will be do-able. I also got a knitting phamplet, a Magic Crochet mag, a Stamping mag, a Crock Pot Cook book, the O'Reilly Factor...big smile...(I won't agree with everything in it but most perhaps), plus, a Francine Rivers novel, a Lynn Austin novel-Hidden Places...what a terrific read that one is!, Hold it! a how to sew bags totes, etc. What a gem of a day yesterday was.
And Here it is early morning, the sun is shining and I already have the living room valances in the dryer. I'd love to come visiting but just can't right now. My breakfast was interrupted by my new pencil holder idea and I must get back out there. My Bible and my breakfast await me. Then my cello ...then I get to spin some wool....lace weight. My bobbin is almost full and today will find me finishing it off and then plying two bobbins full of singles together to have a two ply fingering weight (very thin) yarn. And I'm itching to go get apples off the tree and make spiced apple rings. Does anyone know how long to waterbath them? I can see the red colors clear in from the house....those apples are calling to me....smile. Hope you have a wonderful day!
"Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God." Colossians 3:2-3. New life in Christ, abundant and free....can't think of the rest of the words to that hymn....but if you have repented and given your heart to Jesus you know just what joy and freedom, abandon of worry and what-ifs...that song sings about. =)))

-grin- Glad I'm not the only one who does things like this! My mind seems to hop from one thing to the other. The worst part of this is... just when I think I'm ready to sit down with a book or some-such, I remember something which I *have to* do first. And off I go again. -sigh-
But your idea was a great success and that kind of an interruption is fine.

if you have repented and given your heart to Jesus you know just what joy and freedom, abandon of worry and what-ifs...
So true! I have to laugh at movies surrounding the possible collison of earth with an asteroid declaring we could all blow up into oblivion. And this is a problem? Consider...

We are confident, yes, well pleased rather to be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord.
