The challenge this week for 'Wednesday Stamper' is 'Doors'. This is what I came up with. The background is water colors. The doors are clipped from a magazine. I have used 3 stamps. The feather stamp, the city stamp...which is hidden behind the novelty yarn and a script stamp which is on the children's game card. All stamps are from 'Above The Mark'. I used Tim Holt distress inks on the card etc. I also used a metal washer and star brads. I mounted this on a piece of black matboard and it has a single piece of curved wire at the top for a hanger. I see now that I should have used the feather stamp in the opposite direction around the door on the my left...next time perhaps, oh well! Once again it has been enjoyable to see the results of a morning trying to create a 'door' collage. Thanks for coming by....

I love the colors and the children coming through the open door! And I think the feathers look just as interesting in the direction you have them. Everything comes together beautifully!
I've been so busy with family visiting, Sunday School preparations, training the Buckeroo and rearranging things at the cabin-that I've had little time for my artwork lately. These things are important and I do love them too, but I also miss my artwork.
I'm quite happy to be inspired by you for the time being though!
Have a great day Maggie Ann and much Blessings to You-Claudia O.

Just visiting again to see what you've been up too. The more I look at this piece the more I like. I'd love to know what is behind the doors. The little girls know but they are telling. Wouldn't it be neat to do another piece as to what is behind the door? I plan on doing some art this weekend. Have a great one!

This piece makes me want to read the story it illustrates. I want to know where the girls have been or where they are off to. Love your attention to detail like the little picture above the door in the washer.
