The theme for this week at 'Wednesday Stamper' is 'grungy'. This one was a big challenge for me. Thankfully I had the background paper started and built on that. I sanded my layered background and used 2 rubber stamps. One is the burlap fabric design and the other is my little foam flower. I used patina to darken a metal washer and used it as the tiny picture frame. The vintage footwear is colored with 'pearl' shades of blue. What would I have done differently? I would have chosen a child's face for the picture frame and made sure those picture corners were on straight! Thanks for coming by.....

Really nicely done.
awwww - love the nostalgia ...
i always picture myself as the "little girl" in pics like this, tho' the calendar tells me that i am getting into the older lady part ... isn't it interesting how we view ourselves ...
blessings to you!
Another talented picture, it is wonderful what you can do with paper. good job
I like it. And don't worry about the corners not being straight. Sometimes the little things like that make the picture!
Wonderful work!!
Wonderful, love this!
Love it, great background.
I love that page...one thing I heard at a scrapbooking workshop was don't worry about your mistakes. This is what makes your page unique. Enjoy what you are doing, you are so talented!
Hello Maggie Ann........ exactly one year ago this Friday the 20th a very tiny blog was started by a nervous yet friendly lady here in Australia, her blog is about her country cottage, her family, grandchildren and her life along with her dreams and hopes.
Well now it has been a year exactly since that very special day in my life and the reason I am here on your beautiful blog page today is to say "thank you" because you were the very first person who reached out and took my hand and believe in me and my blog page yours was the very first comment I ever received and I am sure had it not been for your friendly and caring comments left that day I may not still be here loving the friendships made around the world......I now have many dear friends around this beautiful world we all call home and if it had not been for that comment of yours I truly feel much would be missing in my life.........so thank you and blessings to a dear blogger lady "you" Maggie Ann
Best wishes Lee-ann

hi maggie; this a wonderful and nice art-work! i love it!
I found the site and I'm up to trying it but I'll have to find some ledger pages. I'm going to the goodwill store tonight. I'll let you know if I find anything. Ann
I really wanted to comment on your post above this, but it won't.
Thank you for your lovely sentiment and also for posting the scriptures. I know many will be blessed by this.
Our heart are grieving as a nation.
Lidy
This is lovely Maggie Ann, this is one of those pieces you just want to touch... lovely work!
well i think the picture corners being a little crooked add charm to the piece. I love this...it is awesome :o)
Wonderful. Love it.
No luck on finding any type of ledger at the Goodwill store but I did find a few other treasures. I'll post them on my blog later. I'm off to work. I'll have a look around my craft tonight and see what I can come up with. If you're interseted in seeing what my work is here is the website www.triaid.com.
Love it!
That was a fun movie night even if the movie was a little gross. The cat is Lori's cat, Allie. She is 12 years old and is a very nice cat. She like to sit on anyone's lap. The pillows & lamb shades do match. They also match the couch and loveseat but I have covers on those now. Too many years of wear and tear from 2 dogs, 2 cats, 3 kids! We got a really good deal on the furniture about 8 years ago. Couch, Loveseat, 2 lambs, coffee table and 2 end tables and 4 pillows. They have lasted a good long time but I'm ready for something new! We are off to ride our bikes and then some house cleaning and then some art!
Great card!!!!
