 Another skinny cable scarf coming right up.  I couldn't resist!  This one I will attempt to block though. I steamed the last one and it stayed the way it was knit.  I love the soft drape of the yarn with size 13 needles though.  This is being knitted on 10 1/2 I  think. Talk about quick!  and easy...=)

 I know you can't really see the cable pattern in this picture, but my 'skinny scarf' is finished. Size 13 needles and a fun chunky yarn.  My daughter had been here for a whole week for my bday....=) and we started these together.  Last Saturday it was so mild outside I went for a walk in the yard. Look what I saw!  horseshoe imprints in the green green moss under our oak tree.  It was such a beautiful day last week and this Saturday is soooo cold and snowy. But oh what fun to have our daughter visiting for a week!!!

 Ta da!  Our volunteer pumpkins finally go from decoration to preparation for pies.  How satisfying to accomplish something on 'the list'.  Even if its a mental list, right?


 After all the scraping out and washing the seeds, they are ready to bake. Yum, and the 'Pampered Chef' apple corer works very nicely.  I think MacIntosh are my favorite apple to dry.  They are easy to peel and have such a good flavor.Did you know this little honey-dipper makes a great whisk?   I am so glad to have realized this. This pretty bowl was a fun find at TJMax and while I was taking these pictures it slipped to the floor and broke in many pieces.  So I'm glad I got two good pictures out of the deal anyway!  I have a headcold and am lazily sliding through the day.

We had a dog show which had me laughing my head off.  The boys tied yarn 'leads' on their  stuffed dogs and put them through their paces. The dogs were even combed with a bit of water to give them a hair style.     We popped popcorn and enjoyed it, buttery and fragrant. Just a poster I put in a frame found at the local Good Will store, but dear to my heart. I love the detail of the artist. I sewed up these two sofa pillows! I like these so much!  I am still smitten with the fabric and the cheerful pink ball trim. I like it sew/so much that we bought me more of the fabric.
