Look how far along I am on my new flounced skirt! This is very easy to sew and I'm really looking forward to finishing it today. It gets one or two more rows of ruffled fabric. Isabelle gives a wonderfully clear tutorial over at Kitty Couture. This should make a perfect 'cello' playing skirt for me. Well, I've just gotten up and had breakfast and will start my day with Bible reading and prayer...a nice shower and cello practise and sewing. I can hardly wait to get downstairs and sew. I've been wanting to sew and this fun skirt is the very thing thats gotten me off to a happy sewing experience. There is just something about making it yourself that is very special. Not to mention that you couldn't walk into a store and buy this for the small $ amount cost of the fabric! ~~~I have added a comment to my June 13th post in response to your comments~~~

"But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: against such there is no law." Galations 5:17-23

Oh, it is coming along very nicely! I love that fabric - I just love anything flowery... With tiny flowers like this one. You could not be thanking me better, my friend, than by making this skirt as eagerly and happily as you do... Thank you!

OH that is so cute. I wish I could sew. I mean I can sew but it's just not fun for me and of course right now I dont have anytime. Enjoy yourself.

Creating something is fun, isn't it? I used to sew a lot. The last article that I sewed was a pair of pajama bottoms not long ago. I could not seem to find what I wanted so I just made a pair of them and they fit just right too!! I was so proud!! smile!! I hope you had a good day..Thanks for the extra comment too!!
