The tea party was such fun. Laughter and sharing of life. Touching base with kindred spirits who like my blogging friends, have empathy for each other sprinkled liberally with affection. We tried more than one kind of tea and conversation never slowed down. I showed off my collage 'collection', which I absolutely love to do, cause then I can enjoy them again myself. We shared poignant moments of our lives with one another, eyes lighting with laughter and at times, glistening with an unshed tear. We always say the same thing at the end of our time together. Why don't we do this more often? Its a luxury we all need...Time to be bonding with our friends, our sisters. Taking time to stop..and 'love one another'. Posted by Picasa

What a lovely picture - I just love old fashioned afternoon tea parties with pretty China and delicious nibbles. And of course always a great opportunity for me to show off my antique linen, using embroidered cloths, napkins, teacosy, etc.

Thank you friends, for all the lovely comments. Would that you all could have come to the tea party. It would have made it all the richer.

Oh to live in simpler times when it wasn't hard to get a few neighbour ladies together for tea. Seems that now-a-days most homes are deserted by 9 am with no one returning from their hard day at work until the evening.

I feel so blessed to be one of those who can stay home and spend my time in quieter pursuits.
